About this collection

In the present collection you will find a large number of books representative of the cultivation and use of plants.


The books (some of which contain sections dedicated to animal husbandry, gardening, silviculture, phytopathology, etc.) include texts by Columella, a Roman author whose work was translated and widely read until the late eighteenth century, Crescenzi’s De omnibus agriculturae partibus & de plantarum animaliumq[ue] natura [...], and other important Renaissance works, by Alonso de Herrera Charles Estienne and Miquel Agustí.
